Faculty members of St. Theresa’s College of Cebu Basic Education Department visited the University of the Philippines Visayas for a benchmarking activity last June 14, 2024. This visit aims to enhance their academic programs and administrative processes with the insights from UP Visayas.
Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension, Prof. Encarnación Emilia S. Yap served as presenter for the said visit. VCRE Yap presented various academic courses with emphasis on the research thrusts of the university. Dr. Sheila Javier, Office of the Student Affairs Deputy Director and Guidance and Counseling Services Unit Coordinator and Engr. Rico Hortillo, Information Technology Office of the Digital Innovation Center also served as presenters on the said activity.
The main objectives of their visit relied on academic program development, research and development initiatives, quality assurance and accreditation processes, student services and support, technology integration in education and faculty interaction and collaboration.
The STC of Cebu is a PAASCU accredited institution founded by the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. During this visit, they were led by their Basic Education Department Principal, Ms. Angeles Generale.
