The University of the Philippines Visayas was visited by the Central Negros Council for Coastal Resource Development (CENECCORD) last July 13, 2023. They are composed of government officials and agriculturists from the municipalities of Pulupandan, Valladolid, San Enrique, Pontevedra, Hinigaran and Binalbagan and Bago City in Negros Occidental.
They were welcomed by the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension, Dr. Harold M. Monteclaro. The university continues to forge collaborations with people’s organizations to work with in terms of research and development especially in the field of fisheries.
Right after, the delegation went to the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences to learn more about blue swimming crab and diwal from the lectures given by CFOS researchers.
